Vancomycin 500mg Injection belongs to the group of drugs known as glycopeptide antibiotics. It functions by eradicating intestinal bacteria. When taken orally, vancomycin does not eliminate bacteria or treat infections in other body parts. Colds, the flu, or other viral infections cannot be treated with antibiotics like vancomycin.
